This was one ...Hi there, thank you for stopping by. This was one of the easiest cakes to make, I simply made a strawberry bundt cake following the box directions. I used a cardboard cake round ( sold at Walmart, or hobby lobby) and released the bundt cake into the cardboard round. While making the bundt cake I also made cupcakes to use to fill the hole left by the bundt pan at top of the cake. I iced the cake using strawberry frosting and piped on the polka dots. To make the base I used a medium sized metal pail, washed it well and then thoroughly greased it. I made a batch of rice krispie treats and packed the pail full. Let it harden before removing. I added a piece of pvc pipe about 3inches in diameter to the center of the pail to add strength to the base. After the base is done just set cardboard round with bundt cake on top. Have a great party. We are doing a garden fairy party for our 5 year-old in March. How did you do the top of the mushroom with a bundt cake? Did you do two cakes and carve it to a dome? Do you have any place where you have step-by-step directions for putting the mushrool together? Thank you!!!Erinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05857846440734911439noreply@blogger.com
