Bulletin Board Inspiration for Back to School

Looking for some amazing back to school bulletin board ideas? Take a look behind the scenes of a little bulletin board fun with some of your favorite teacher bloggers from Learn 365.
I have been so blessed this week to be spending time with the talented teacher blogger team from Learn 365 / Oriental Trading. While we were over at OTC the fun squad had a little friendly bulletin board competition. Boxes filled with border trim, paper fans and some cactus fun were waiting for us when we arrived. Come take a look behind the scenes.

Here are a few of the items used to create this look

We started with the back ground using the black and white fadeless paper. We took the lime green and black chevron border trim and stapled it together so it would layer easily. We used the coral fanburst garland and secured them up, layering our border trim on top. This was a great way to provide some texture and a pop of color between the border trim and the background.

Once our borders were  secure and in place we started adding some colorful fans to the top corners. These really add that pop and texture making it fun and whimsical. We opted to staple them together before adhering to our board so we could add them as all one piece.

Next we started on our cactus-scape at the bottom, using a combination of the watercolor cactus centerpieces and some 3 dimensional ones created with lanterns, honeycomb balls and tissue paper. These combined for a unique look that is sure to provide that "WOW" factor for your bulletin boards.

We strung some baker's twine and added a few washi tape clothespins to hold up our sharp work coming soon signs. I created these adorable signs as a placeholder for student work. Often those bulletin boards are up and ready before the student work is, so these provide a fun way to complete the look. They were created with clipart from our friends at Grant Avenue Design and Bubbly Borders. Check out the writing prompt and all about me cactus included in my cactus bulletin board kit over at TPT. We added our favorite hash tag #Can'tTouchThis! and we were all set.

So proud of our team, such a  fun project to work on! Here is our finished product!

Great work Marcy from Simply Sprout, Chad from The Male Kindergarten Teacher, Alisha from The Bubbly Blonde Teacher and Layla from Fancy Free in Fourth!
