Salt Snowflakes

In honor of my very first snow day as a Florida teacher we had to celebrate with some fun snow related activities today. These beautiful salt snowflakes were so fun to create, just a few minutes and a couple of supplies and you have beautiful decorations for those gloomy winter windows.

Here's what you'll need:
Coffee filters
Water Colors
Elmer's Glue
Salt

Have students paint their coffee filters with blue and purple watercolor paint, allow to dry.
Once dry have students create a snowflake using the Elmer's glue.

Now just sprinkle some salt, shake so it covers the entire snowflake.
Set aside and let dry overnight.

Now you are all set...beautiful salt snowflakes will brighten up those winter windows in not time at all!
